Process Improvement and Management Consultant
Seyfi Cetin graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in 1988. He worked in a short time in a company which was producing tire molds and equipments for tire industry before going to Sydney, Australia. He gained experience in HVAC system Project design during his 3,5 years working period in Sydney.
In 1993, he started to work at Pirelli tire plant in Turkey. He completed his Kaizen training program and became one of the first certified Kaizen Engineers in Turkey and at the same time he became a part of the team which achieved the TPM award as a first in Turkey and second in Europe in 1994. Next, he was promoted to the position of Improvement Projects Chief and carried out management responsibility of the improvement projects in production, quality, maintenance and industrial engineering areas.
After Pirelli, in 1997, he started to work at Honda as a quality chief with the management responsibility of Parts Receiving Quality, Finished Vehicle Quality and Market Quality sections for the company at the construction phase. After the start-up, he was sent to Japan for 6 months to have Japanese language course and training for management of quality and assembly departments. He gained experience in Japanese Management Systems like TQM, TPS and lean Management during his 7 years work in Honda at different management positions at quality and production departments.
Next, he started as a Plant Director at Hugo Boss which was a multinational fashion company in textile industry. He provided support in implementation of systems like one-piece flow, TPM autonomous maintenance, TPM Planned maintenance, TPM Early Product Management, Productivity and Cost Deployment, Improvement Teams, Suggestion system and integration of them to the Hugo Boss Production System during his 3,5 years work at Hugo Boss.
After Hugo Boss, he started as a General Manager with Profit and Loss, P/L responsibility at TI Automotive which was a multinational automotive parts supplier company. He had an opportunity to implement intensively TPS, Toyota Production System methodologies during his 3,5 years working experience at TI Automotive since the company was a supplier of Toyota. After TI Automotive, he started to work as Process Improvement and Management Consultant at Net Consulting.
Seyfi speaks English and Japanese and he has about 22 years working experience with 15 years in automotive industry, 3,5 years in engineering projects and 3,5 years in textile fashion industry. He has an extensive knowledge and experience with regard to TPM, TQM, TPS, Lean and Kaizen systems and methodologies.
